Once we start correcting your spine through chiropractic adjustments, it is very important that we start a rehabilitation program. Spinal adjustments help restore proper alignment and movement, while physical rehabilitation plays an important role in helping your body maintain those improvements. Together, they provide a more comprehensive approach to improving function, supporting your spine, and helping you move and feel your best.
Rehabilitation focuses on improving strength, stability, balance, flexibility, and overall movement to help support your adjustments and make everyday activities more comfortable. Our rehabilitation program includes a variety of stretching and strengthening exercises that are tailored to each patient’s individual needs, abilities, and goals. Whether your focus is improving flexibility, building strength, increasing stability, or improving movement patterns, exercises are selected specifically for you.
At Livingston County Chiropractic Center, we provide a wide range of physical rehabilitation strategies, including electrical stimulation therapy, Precor Stretch Trainer, DenneRoll, vibration plate and more.
The Precor Stretch Trainer allows us to provide deeper, supported stretches for the back, hips, shoulders, and legs. These stretches help improve flexibility and mobility while allowing you to remain in a comfortable position—making it a great option for patients who may have difficulty getting up or down from the floor or have balance issues while standing.
The DenneRoll is an advanced orthopedic tool designed to support posture and spinal health. It is used to improve the curvature in your cervical spine. It uses gentle sustained pressure on the spine while in use to promote relaxation of the muscles surrounding the spine and encourage improved mobility. This pressure helps decrease forward head posture, reduce muscle tension, improve joint mobility, and relieve pain.
Vibration plate therapy is an active-passive rehabilitation modality used to stimulate neuromuscular adaptation, enhance circulation, and support spinal stabilization. During a session, patients sit or stand on a platform that oscillates or vibrates rapidly, triggering involuntary muscle contractions through the tonic vibration reflex. This stimulation may promote local blood flow and lymphatic circulation, supporting oxygen and nutrient delivery to soft tissues, including muscles, ligaments, discs, and joints, while also helping with pain modulation. Vibration plate therapy can also support functional stability by improving proprioception, balance, and coordination. These benefits may help support overall movement quality and reduce the recurrence of chronic low back or neck discomfort. For individuals experiencing plantar fasciitis, vibration therapy may increase ciruclation, relax tight calf muscles, and reduce tension throughout the plantar fascia, providing additional support for foot comfort and mobility.
